Windsor Post Office Exterior Renovation & Utility Drop Box Removal

 
Utility Drop Box to be Removed from Windsor Post Office:
 
The Drop Box for Windsor Utility payments will be removed before April 1, 2025 to accommodate construction at the Windsor Post Office. Utility payments can be mailed or delivered to Village of Windsor, 4084 Mueller Rd, Deforest, WI 53532. If you would like to make a one-time quick payment, pay by phone, or sign up for automatic payments or paperless billing, please visit: www.windsorwi.gov/utility.  A payment drop box at the new Windsor Municipal Building, 4430 Windsor Rd, will be open around June 1, 2025. 
 
 
Windsor Post Office Exterior Renovation:
 
The Windsor Post Office exterior renovation is set to begin the week of March 31st and scheduled to be completed June 16, 2025. The building will be receiving a pitched roof, metal roofing, trim and siding; new windows with solid surface sills, replacement of the aluminum storefront, ADA accessible ramp, and site work including relocating the parking stalls. During the construction period there will be no parking next to or in back of the Post Office. You are encouraged to park at Windsor Fireman's Park in the designated stalls, as shown on the map.  
 
Below is the schedule for the project along with the disruptions as we complete the exterior renovations:
 
  1. The exterior drop box will be temporarily removed and installed across the street from the current location. Once the site work is done at the Municipal Building the exterior drop box will be placed behind the Post Office for easy drive thru access. 
     
  2. Demolition of the roof is scheduled for April 1 thru April 16th. A construction dumpster will be placed by the DMB Neighborhood Center on Windsor Street; please remain clear of this area. 
     
  3. Sitework (weather dependent) is scheduled for April 15th thru April 28th. During this period access will not be disrupted during the service lobby hours of 8:30am to 12:30pm; however, access to the interior mail boxes from 12:30pm to 6pm will be very limited and more likely inaccessible during these periods, as we reshape the site and pour the concrete, please plan accordingly. 
     
  4. The installation of the metal roofing, trim and siding is scheduled for May 8th thru May 19th. 
     
  5. Masonry touch ups are scheduled for May 22nd thru May 27th. 
     
  6. Replacement of the windows and doors is scheduled for May 22nd thru June 2nd. 
     
  7. Final completion is scheduled for June 16th.
